Ordering BMW Coded Keys

In today's business climate theft and fraud come from many sources. Identity, credit cards, checks, personal property and vehicles can all be at risk. We need your help to protect you and your assets. Below are the minimum requirement’s to order coded keys and locks from BMW North America and Chapman BMW Chandler in Phoenix, AZ.

Keys for Personal Use

For your personal vehicle, to order a coded key or lock we need the following:

  • You must be the legal owner of the vehicle
  • You must have current/valid United States driver's license
  • You must have current registration with your name matching on the driver's license
  • Must be pre-paid at the time of order. Keys are produced in New Jersey and average delivery time via Fed-Ex is 2 to 3 days

Example: John Smith is here and Mary Smith is on the registration. Even though John is married legally to Mary, he is not the "legal" owner operator of the vehicle. Mary must come in with proper ID to order a key for her car.

Keys for Business Use

For businesses such as used vehicle centers, auctions, leasing firms, or repossession firms we need the following:

  • You must have current/valid United States driver's license. (Person from business requesting key or lock)
  • Copy of title signed and notarized or
  • Restricted Power of Attorney or
  • Copy of Vehicle Installment Contract Security Agreement, Note and Disclosure Statement or
  • A signed Bill of Sale that clearly shows the complete 17–digit vehicle identification number (VIN), has the seller and buyer name, signatures and date

Key Pricing

Due to the staggering amount of different keys and vehicle models, we would need to quote an exact price from your VIN. In general:

  • Remote keys: $250 to $1020
  • Non-remote keys: $78 to $92
